The Preiļi Museum of History and Applied Arts is an institution of the Preiļi Regional Council.

The Preiļi Museum of History and Applied Arts was founded on January 1, 1985 with the mission to raise the self-confidence of residents, especially school youth, by popularising the material and intangible values ​​created by previous generations living in the region and newly created by the era through the creation of appropriate collections, expositions, exhibitions and educational events.

The museum's collection contains more than 20,000 items that reflect the history of the region, economic, educational and cultural development, and the role of notable personalities in various events in the history of the region and the country.

The main collections include ceramics by Polikarps Čerņavskis and works by the Preiļi Ceramicists' Group, visual art, textiles, ethnographic objects, photographic materials, documents, paintings and graphics by Latgale artists.
