97. A well-to-do peasant fisherman living near the city. His clothing already shows that he is more prosperous than the rural peasant. Under the blue overcoat he has a fur coat, and beneath that still a red waistcoat. As the overturned vessels in the sledge indicate, he has already sold his fish. Detail of a drawing by J. C.
