Sash (hizam), made of silk brocade using the lampas technique with long fringes; one of four sashes, handcrafted in Africa, presented as gifts by the Pashas of Tangier and Tetouan to the highest authorities in May 1846. Presented to the Kunstkammer by Duke Ernst II of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and his wife, Duchess Alexandrine.
