97. Kāds pilsētas tuvumā dzīvojošs pārticis zemnieks-zvejnieks. Jau viņa apģērbs liecina, ka viņš ir turīgāks par lauku zemnieku. Zem zilā mēteļa viņam ir kažoks un zem tā vēl sarkans kamzolis. Kā liecina apgāztās muldas kamanās, viņš zivis ir pārdevis. J. K. Broces zīmējuma fragments (III, 74)

97. A well-to-do peasant fisherman living near the city. His clothing already shows that he is more prosperous than the rural peasant. Under the blue overcoat he has a fur coat, and beneath that still a red waistcoat. As the overturned vessels in the sledge indicate, he has already sold his fish. Detail of a drawing by J. C.
