82. Rīgā parastais dziļu sēru apģērbs augstāku aprindu ļaudīm, proti, melni tūka svārki ar četrām pogām, bez pogcaurumiem. Veste un bikses ir no tāda paša auduma. Zobens aptīts ar melnu škidrautu, zeķes melnas, bet ne zīda, un sprādzes iezilganas. 82. In Riga the usual deep mourning dress of persons of higher rank, namely: a black coat made of felted woollen cloth with four buttons but no buttonholes. The waistcoat and trousers are of the same fabric. The sword is wrapped with a black crepe; the stockings are black, though not silk; and the buckles are bluish in colour. Mourning ribbons on the lapel were formerly worn only by the nobility or high officials; now the same are also worn by persons of the refined burgher class. Detail of a drawing by J. C.
