A dataset dimension representing the main economic activity of an enterprise, establishment, or respondent, classified according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (NACE Rev. 2). Equivalent to the SDMX cross-domain concept ACTIVITY, which provides harmonised sectoral codes consistent with ISIC Rev. 4. This dimension is used to group observations by industry or sector in economic, labour, and cultural statistics.
